TEXTILES IN A TUBE - Exhibition Opportunity

I was very honored recently to be invited to consult in the planning of a juried exhibiton, Textiles in a Tube, as well as serve as the juror. The exhibition is hosted by Riverworks Gallery which is the downtown gallery of Greenville Technical College. The gallery is located in the recently revitalized Falls area of Greenville, South Carolina and is a beautiful professional gallery space.

The Prospectus for Textiles in a Tube states that (the show) is a call to artists to expand their thinking in relation to textile materials, processes, concepts and results. You are invited to investigate what textiles are or what they can be and push forward to the "reinvention" or expansion of this multi-faceted medium. All entries must be shipped or delivered in a 3" x 36" mailing tube.

There is a full calendar and details in the Prospectus as to the definition of materials and process for the show which welcomes 2-D and 3-D work. Click HERE and you will go to the home page for Greenville Tech. On the top right of the home page, there is a link to a PDF Perspectus and Entry Form forTextiles in a Tube.

In addition to Cash Awards there will be a catalog.

Please spread the word and if you have questions you can contact the Director of Riverworks Gallery at: fleming.market@gvltec.edu or 864-271-0679.
